Hello, and welcome to my latest newsletter. I am so happy that GIVE has taken on a life of its own. It’s now in your hands and cars all the way from New York to Hawaii - and almost every state in between. I have been so humbled and blown away by your response to the pre-release promotion. I thank everyone who has purchased a copy of GIVE!
With your help, our goal is to create enough momentum with our own independent label that we will have a good position to negotiate a move on to a major label next year. That would take my product to a higher level with more main stream distribution, access to CMT, and more radio airplay for my music.
In order to get the attention of the labels and large-scale distribution chains, we are really depending on the fans who have been moved by the music to roll up your sleeves and join our team. We will be sending out a newsletter in the next few days giving you the option to join our street team-grass roots-guerrilla marketing effort to spread the word about GIVE on a one-to-one basis across the country.
In the mean time, check out the events below and stay tuned to the web site for daily updates on news items and concerts. I will be making appearances in the areas that have the highest numbers in sales and the most Street Team members to help promote events. I will be singing the National Anthem at the 66th Annual Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration, in Shelbyville, Tennessee, on Monday, August 30, 2004. The Celebration is housed in an outdoor stadium that seats approximately 30,000 people. I am so excited to have the privilege to honor the flag and our great country at this event.
