The newest addition to the team is photographer Russ Harrington  (www.russharrington.com).  Russ has over five hundred album covers and photo shoots on his resume.  Russ is a true professional in every sense of the word.  Working with he and his staff made a job that is sometimes stressful and frustrating and turned it into something fun and exciting.  He is not only a good photographer, he is a great person!  It felt incredible having a crew of people transform me from “soccer mom” to “model for a day” then getting to hop back in my trusty old sweats.  Over the next several weeks there will be many upgrades taking place at stacywhited.com thanks to Russ.

This past week I had the true privilege of getting to work with Dennis Franks in the studio on Music Row.  Dennis is a true renaissance man bringing the same level of excellence and work ethic to the sound room as he has the NFL locker room and corporate board room.

He played guitar and back up vocal on two tracks for the up coming CD.  Click below for a sample of his favorite song from  the week, “Give”.  This is a song that has a great melody with a message that I know I need to be reminded of every now and then.  See what you think.

Listen to the Stacy's newest song "Give" (.30 sec)

“Give”

I don’t get why people walk around unhappy

And I don’t get why life’s not always fair

And I don’t get why money has to make a difference

But I don’t really care

Chorus:

Cause I know when my life is over

It’s gonna matter how I lived

And I won’t be measured by the things I’ve got

Cause it isn’t what you get

It’s what you give

So I love every time I get the chance

And I laugh just to hear the sound

And I live every moment to the fullest

As long as I’m around

Chorus:

So give someone a helpin’ hand

Give someone a kiss

Give with all your heart and soul

It doesn’t matter what it is

Just Give

Yeah Yeah

Cause you know when your live is over

It’s gonna matter how you lived

And you won’t be measured by the things you’ve got

Cause it isn’t what you get

It’s what you give
